   I have had a blog here for quite awhile but haven't been using it much, and not logging on very often. I have been meaning to blog more often, and put my blog to good use, and I am trying to write more...

   So when I logged on recently, according to my "Dashboard" it says "Akismet has protected your site from 213 (or so) spam comments already."

   Is there any way for me to go back and view those spam messages? They are no longer in the queue?

   This is the very first time I have seen anything about spam... I don't think it was there before?

   It's been there for years, and it's one of the best features of wordpress.com blogs.
   You can't view spam that has already been deleted. If you don't want the spam comments to be deleted automatically, so that you can check them, you need to go to Settings > Discussion and enable the option "Don’t discard spam on old posts". Keep in mind that when Akismet catches comments as spam, it's 99.99% right.

   I did change those settings. And I thank you for responding. I was wondering about Akismet... seems like it could be a good thing. Again, thanks,
