Allowing Contributors to Upload .Doc or .XLS files on my Page

  1. Hi,

    Is there a way to have a file upload box display right on my page (rather than in the Administrators section)? I'd like it to be easy for other contributors to the page to download and upload a shared file without having to go into the admin pages. I can't figure out how to do this. Thanks for any help you can offer!

  2. The only vay your contributors would have to upload to your site is if you assign them the role of Author.

    On the free WP.com blog, there is a limit of 35 users. After that you have to pay for an upgrade.

    Also, wordpress.com does not support .xls file uploads.

  4. Thanks justjennifer! I meant to say that I want all Authors to be able to upload files. Does anyone know of a way to make the upload box appear right on the webpage itself, and not just in the Administrative space?

  5. Thank you both!

  6. The only place you can upload files is on the write post page. Authors have that permission as the FAQ justjennifer referenced indicates.

  7. Velcome!

    {vaving @tsp-you are qvite correct!}
