Allowing others to post on the site, and previewing those posts

  1. Hi, I'm trying to find out how I invite readers to post quotes, photos, videos, etc. on my site. I'd like to keep this invitation open to anyone who visits, and have their content sit in a queue until I've edited it, approved it and posted it myself. So nothing gets posted til I approve, and anyone (not just those who get invitations) can submit a post for possible posting if approved. Can someone help me figure out how to do this in WordPress? It's easy to figure out in Tumblr but haven't cracked the answer here yet. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is amplifytablet.wordpress.com.

  2. WordPress blogs aren't wikis and they aren't forums or public noticeboards whereon everyone can post. You are limited to what follows.

    Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers
If you’d like to invite others to publish posts or help approve comments on your blog, you can invite them to be a Contributor, Editor, or Author.

    User Roles

There are four roles that you can assign to people who you want to blog with: Administrator, Editor, Author, and Contributor.
