Allowing our audience to create new posts..

Is it possible for our online users to create new posts? As of now I just see that they are able to comment on posts in which I have created.
For example is it possible to add a forum to our site or something else that would allow people to post their own stories. The site we've created is meant for people to share stories. But so far we have only figured out how to share our stories and we want our online users to be able to post new topics.
    Thank you for your time

  3. Blogs are not forums. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_forum
    Blogs are not wikis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki

A blog is web site for a specific person or a specific group to post articles and visitors can comment on them. In a blog the control of content and value is driven by a single person or small group.

A discussion board or forum is used to solicit feedback from others by generating dialogue. Anyone can post a message and users can respond to each other. On a discussion board or forum control of content and value is shared equally across all users.

Wiki technology was originally designed for online collaboration among loosely affiliated software developers. Now wikis are comprised of community members who are passionate about specific subjects. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/06/13/whats-a-wiki/

  4. You really don't want just anybody and everybody posting. You could create a page with a contact form for them to submit samples and then promote selected people to Contributors or Authors.
