alphainventions – scam?

    Recently I’ve been getting hits referred from alphainventions.com, which describes itself as some kind of tool for keeping webmasters notified when other blogs are updated. Are these real hits? When I look at the site it seems to just generate hits by loading blog after blog in a frame in my browser. Is this something malicious or a scam? thanks

    yeah, I was wondering the same thing,I got 4 hits from them yesterday. Some cheap way of advertising or what? I’m also getting hit a bundh from adgridwork.com Whats that about!

    Yes we do read the forums. We’re not sure what to make of that site yet, but if we find evidence it’s spam or a scam then we’ll do something about it.

    As far as I know it’s a new site functioning as blog aggregator or such but of course I could be proven wrong.

    this is what I found on there about page.

    Alpha Inventions connects webmasters with each other in real-time by
    providing traffic to webmasters from other webmasters as soon as they publish
    a blog from Blogger, Word Press, Type pad, and Msn. Simple.

    Hello Curious People,

    First off i’m just a regular working guy with an apartment and an old car with a big imagination. I don’t think like anyone in this world, because if I did I would not have been able to create alphainventions.com I just ate a McChicken, and i’m a little sleepy.

    The blogs and links appearing on my site are just the most recently updated blogs from people like yourself.

    At first I was mad to see this, and frustrated to have to go through with getting an account with Word Press just to explain how my site his more helpful then harmful, but I’m now glad I have an account, and this might stimulate you check out the site more often. I’m a friggin blogger now yay!

    Ever thought of this?

    If you were to comment on a blog right after the webmaster published (updated) it, you would get a faster response, because most likely the webmaster is still online, and shocked to see that someone has commented so quickly. This is either very simple, or i’m an advanced human.

    It’s just an experiment to help webmasters (bloggers) connect in real-time. It looks simple, but it took me 3 months of coding to build this thing. I’m bored, in my 20s, and this thing is cool.

    Thanks for starting the small buzz about my site being a scam. The more exposure to the site means more traffic to your blog you from alphainventions.com when you update it.

    That’s how the site is made to work.

    The huge truck got stuck under the bridge, and many men tried to get it out for hours and failed until the creator of alphainventions.com told them let the air out of the tires to set it free.

    If you are concerned that it’s a scam, then contact the government, or whatever it takes, because they are going to tell you how cool it is when they get done with the investigation. I may even link to this post.

    done here & would like to thank you for coding this program to show off our newest
    posts… I also think that if a enough bloggers wrote up a promotion article your
    site would become more known around the web… Hey you have a WordPress, account now
    that would be a great starting point on getting your experiment known on the web. :)

    Hello. I just got my first referral from your random, real-time aggregator. I think thedarknight and others are concerned that the referral appearing in stats was caused by your site displaying their blog’s feed, and not a reader of your site clicking on it once it had appeared. Your project seems very cool, it satisfies a fascination our media culture has with random access, shuffle and mashup, and happens in my favourite blogging forum. I like that it has the character of a ‘channel’. I will continue to watch it and maybe comment more.
