hi! i'm wondering if anyone knows how to properly upload an animated gif??
I've tried but the image stands still when i preview or publish. it works only
on my end when i've uploaded it into my browser area, but it won't view
otherwise...
any thoughts??

Did you upload your gif and then resize it? If so then that's where you went wrong. In order for an animated gif to play, it must be full size when you upload it. Make sure the gif is no larger than the maximum width for your theme's post area. If it is, then resize it on your computer before uploading it.
The animated gif needs to be uploaded at the exact size required for the spot you are putting it (header, into a page or into a post). If it is resized by wordpress, then the animation will be lost.
