   After I make a new post, a stupid side bar on the left appears with a "Goal" number of posts and a quote from a famous writer.

   IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE THIS ANNOYING CRAP STOP?!

   Not to worry you can disable instant feedback > Dashboard > Users > Personal Settings http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/12/12/get-instant-feedback-when-you-publish/
