Another blogger wrote unwanted post in response to mine.

    I was delighted to have a post Freshly Pressed. Another blogger wrote a response to my post, and his involves porno. He has a link in his post to mine. I'm flattered, but I DON'T want to be associated with someone blogging about porn. Is this plagiarism? How do I get rid of his link to my post? I got a pingback (I think) notifying me. Should I just start with a comment back to him and ask him to remove my info? Going forward, is there a way to prevent people linking to my posts without my permission? Thanks to any and all for help.

    The blog I need help with is pegoleg.wordpress.com.

    Hi. First of all, congratulations on getting Freshly Pressed!

    Plagiarism would be if the person was stealing your content and republishing it on their website. You would then file a formal complaint to have the content removed.

    However, there is nothing you can do to prevent people from merely linking to your blog:

    I have the choice to publish his comment/pingback on my site or not, right?

    Yes, you do not have to approve the pingback, and in this case you probably shouldn't.

    The porn angle is bad enough. To add insult to injury, he's not a very good writer :) Thanks to both for your help.

    If you want to be mean, go to his blog and use the Blog Info button in your admin bar to Report As Mature. if it's porn, it'll be set as Mature and then I don't think they leave pingbacks at all. And it will cost him traffic.
