Any 40+ bloggers out there?

I'm in the club by a few years. My blog is a tongue-in-cheek look at parenting from a dad's perspective.

Oops! Not sure why the link above says, "null" but it goes to the right place.

  4. I'm 40+ and 50+ and unfortunately soon going on for 60+
Can we talk about our teens? ;)

  5. I'll be 40 in 13 years if that counts for anything? :)

  6. Well, we can Bird. But my teens were a nightmare. I was a complete nutter and everyone seemed to think I needed a shrink. Lol. I saw one.......when I was 51. ;)

  7. @ard. Aww, your just a bairn yet. (bairn = baby or child in Yorkshire) but you know that anyway. But you can join in. Good practice for when you reach that milestone. ;)

  8. @jessielansdel
I'm in the same age range as absurdoldbird but I have no inclination to revisit my teen years. :)

  9. Does that mean then, no one will want to read our unhip blogs? :D

Come on, if the teen bloggers are discovered, then we have to uncover the sugar daddies, sugar mamas, cougars (latter, for women lusting after much younger men)...

My age range is given in my 2nd most recent blog post in http://cyclewriteblog.wordpress.com

  10. According to Quantcast, my blog is HUGE with guys aged 18-26. Yes, I'm the American Pie of WordPress.com I guess. Now where's my Judd Apatow level money?

    @raincoaster ---
Jason Segel and Seth Rogen won't share. Sorry.

(Everyone knows I'm officially a geeze.)

  12. I was thinking 'music' and stuff we enjoyed then, Jessie, rather than moods. Gigs, bands, films, holidays, etc.

  13. "Then?" Back when we had hormones?

  14. Haha Jessie I'm only in Derbyshire I say bairn too to people even younger than me =D

  15. @raincoaster
    I need that laugh :D

  16. @raincoaster. Yep!

  17. Ooh, well, when I was 13/14 I was mad about The Beach Boys. My room was covered in posters of them. Every time I got a bad school report my father threatened to take them all down. Now I can't bear to here their awful wailing. :)

  18. at 13/14 I was into The Walker Brothers, went to their concerts (when did concerts become gigs?) a few laters and I was rocking my head off to Led Zeppelin.

  19. er... 'a few years later', that should've been. Though a few laters is just about right, really.

  20. Creaks way into thread :D also same age range as Bird and TT except for the nearly 60+ bit; and lol yes Raincoaster :D

  21. wow, dovesgold, for some weird reason (though I don't know what weird reason) I thought you were really young... like, 20s or 30s!

  22. LOl Bird I'm 51 :) I'm just quite laid back (usually)
Have been described as "If you were any more laid back you'd be asleep"

  23. Think of it this way: either it's really impressive or it elicits the "ick" factor, when one tells someone: I'm over half a century old.

Which I am. Yes, of course I still cycle daily and feel like a kid.

  24. I'm not of 40+ but I'll remember you all when I'll be at the age of you guys.

  25. Uh - I just joined the 'club'. It's official, too, because things are not where they used to be and they often creak.

  26. Then things can only look up.

  27. Jessie, I'm well over 40. You already visit us, I believe, for which I thank you, but if you haven't been for a while, stop by!

Listen, Raincoaster, I STILL have hormones. sheesh, the very cheek!

  28. When I started my first blog I was 20 plus. Then I was 30 plus. Now I'm 40 plus. The archives make my blog a time machine—I can go back to my 20s with a swipe of my mouse. But 20s, 30s or 40s, I like to think I'm still the best darn Dungslinger in town!

  29. OMIGAWD, stonehead. You really did blog that far back in history! I wonder if you are one of the rare bloggers on this forum.

Gosh, are you Elder Blogger? ;) How many blog themes have you used?

I like my blog because it presents photos plus accompanying real story andcomments in 1 neat little time capsule pkg. that I can revisit. And I do. :)

  30. Oops I'm getting old, I mixed in my response for 2 topic threads into this thread.
