I'm a novice with wordpress but I've managed to put together this site.
The only problem is that it looks a bit boring in my opinion. I'd love some suggestions from creative types for ways to make it look a little more appealing?
I don't want to change the colour of the content box because I prefer sites that are black on white as they're easier to read.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate. See here http://wordpress.ORG/support/ and if you have not registered a WordPress.org username account yet you can do so on the top right hand corner of the page I just linked to so you can post to those support forums.
