Hello WordPress world.. I am new to word press and I am trying to figure out who does one gain subscribers.. should I follow more people but I feel that is rude especially if i do not get to read and comment on them on a regular basis...please help
    ty

The blog I need help with is lifemypointofview.wordpress.com.

  2. I'm new as well. Commenting on other blogs and subscribing helps. Some reciprocate others don't. But I've always found the posts interesting. You'll also get a feel for who's active in posting and etc. Come visit mine sometime.

  3. Consider this place like your new school or college. You will have to reach out and make friends and make your presence felt. Reading and commenting regularly is a part of the process. It will be overwhelming at first but will become a habit soon. I'm new here too and so far this has worked for me.

  4. Since we're all newbies and trying to figure it out there's nothing to lose. I'll be visiting your sites soon.

There are many ways that you can encourage your readers to comment and become subscribers to your blog. The way you structure your posts can have the effect of drawing out comments. Have you tried composing and publishing posts that bait comments? http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/03/21/blogging-comment-baiting/

The most effective way of promoting a blog within the WordPress.com community is to seek out other blogs in the same niche and form blog centered relationships with bloggers who share the same blogging interests. Forming blog centered relationships is a natural consequence of posting meaningful comments on posts in the blog you locate. There are several ways to locate blogs in the same niche revealed in this post. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/07/13/wordpress-com-in-house-blog-promotion/

When we click your username this is what we get:

    xn--insatiable-mracd.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
The address xn--insatiable-mracd.wordpress.com is reserved and cannot be registered, but you can sign up and choose another one.

If you do have another wordpress.com free hosted blog then please link it to your username. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

  11. If you do want to claim the xn--insatiable-mracd.wordpress.com blog then it is reserved for you as you have the matching username. To claim it please contact Staff. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  12. Edit: as you have the matching username was meant to be if you have another username account and that username account matches the blog.

  13. Best way I've foudn to get people interested in my blog is to post it to my fb then ask others to post it to theirs if they find it interesting or entertaining.

  14. New people have alot of issues in getting subscribers and traffic. Ive been here three months now, and though my traffic is not as heavy as I'd like it to be, ive found that having a twitter account and a facebook page to help promote my blog helps.
I blog about Enviromental issues and nature stories so having a set direction also helps. It'll take some time, but if you promote yourself correctly, you will start getting more subscribers.
