While I was editing a post I was working on for 2 days, my word press editor said my server was undergoing maintenance please wait 5 minutes then hit the refresh button. So I waited one hour and when the page refreshed everything was gone, even hitting the back button did not help, when I went to my dashboard my draft was there but when I hit the post everything was blank. Does anyone know why I lost all the previous information even thought it was saved several times?
Need help? Check out our Support site, then
any way to recover lost post

try Ctrl Z with your editor open If this
don't work then you're out of luck.... -
Ctrl+Z was for window users here is a link that will explain
it in more detail... =)

Maybe try emailing support to see if they can recover it somehow.

@pornstarbabylon,
I try'd that and they replied back saying theres nothing they can do -
Normally I would say check the rss feed or Google's cache. But the post was just a draft and not yet published. I save everything first on my notepad and don't delete it until it hits the front page. Because of having losing things many things like this before.

You can also use an offline blog editor like Blogdesk. They keep a copy of everything on your computer, so even if WP has hiccups you've still got everything you did.
