   I would like to comment on a blog that I have commented on in the past, but when I try to I now receive this message: You do not have access to this host. Please check your API key in ConTask to make sure it is the correct key.

   I understand this has something to do with akismet and the spam filter, but other than that I can't figure out what the problem is. Should I contact the blogs author about this. Not sure what to do. . .

   The blog I need help with is catastrophysicist.wordpress.com.

   Contask is not associated with wordpress and has nothing to do with Akismet. It is a third-party spam tool.
