I'm having problems with changing the appearance of my blog; the design tools are not loading! Since yesterday it's not working. I cleaned my browser cache, tried another browser but no luck. Is this a general problem from your side? Thank you.

solved. never delete your main page! not even accidentally! : )

Hi Mairac,
If you want to change your design, it automatically tries it on your front page.
I did the mistake deleting my front page ( the page I specially selected as front page from the design tools, as I was doing the preview thing). So design tools couldn't be loaded because my front (or home page) didn't exist anymore.
IF you did the same mistake, just restore your deleted page from the trash folder.
If it's not this, than you can try the usual ways like cleaning your browser cache or trying it on another browser.
