Appearance Link Is Missing From My Dashboard

  1. I want to change my header image, but the 'appearance' link is missing, so I don't have access to my theme, header, etc. Please help. :)

The blog I need help with is nesting.wordpress.com.

  2. Is this your website? http://www.kpsells.com/

If so it foesn't look like a WP site to me. are you sure it is a WP site?

Can you get into your Dashboard? If so then Appearance should be 4th item from the bottom.

    Good luck.

  3. Are you the Admin of that blog, or just a Contributor or Editor?

  4. We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with that site linked to your username as it’s not being hosted by WordPress.com and we run on different software. This is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/

  5. It is a wordpress blog. It's nesting.wordpress.com

  6. That site linked to your username as it’s not being hosted by WordPress.com.

  7. What @raincoaster said: Are you the Admin on that blog or signed in as an admin? Only admins will see the Appearance menu in the dashboard.

  8. That site linked to your username as it’s not being hosted by WordPress.com.

Yes but he subsequently provided this address:
    http://nesting.wordpress.com/

He should perhaps provide an image of what exactly is he is seeing in his dashboard. I checked the theme he is using (Pilcrow) and it is identical to other Automatic Themes that I am aware of.

    This is puzzling to me!

  9. Are you the Admin of that blog, or just a Contributor or Editor?

  10. @jtanna01, this has nothing to do with "themes." This is wordpress core stuff, and if you are not an admin, or are not signed in as an admin, certain menu items will not appear (those you do not have permission to work with).
