Archive Issues After Import

  1. I recently migrated from Movable Type to WordPress, and you can see the final product here: http://intheagora.com/

I was able to import all of my old posts but, as is often an issue with such a conversion, I'm struggling to get permalinks to the old posts jive with the new ones. More troubling, though, is that the archives all link to the old posts and old monthly list, even though I can clearly access these old posts now through WordPress and even though *the slug and permalinks are the same*. Thus, in the WordPress admin area I can edit an old post and tell it to publish to the same URL as the old post, yet only the old post remains at that URL.

This is truly a vexing issue. Does anyone have a solution? At this point I'd even be willing to pay for help.

  2. You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.

If you don't understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

  3. Since that blog is self-hosted, follow the link in sam's post above and inquire over at the wordpress.ORG forums which are where self-hosted blogs are supported.
