   How do I get posts off the main page and into archives? My March post is both in the March archive AND displaying on the main page.

   It won't move off until you post something newer

   Keep posting. As you make more posts, they move off of the front page. It's set to display the last 10 pervious posts.

   One thing you can do though:

   Limit the number of posts showing on the main page. Dashboard -> Options -> Reading -> Blog Pages -> Show at most # Posts and put a different number in there.

   The issue with that though is it will limit the number of posts on your other pages as well.
