Archiving text widgets

  1. Hi, I'm new here.
I just set up a text widget at the top of my sidebar where I plan to sporadically write quotations (just one quotation at a time). But eventually I figure I should have an archive for these quotations just in case someone is curious about the older, deleted ones.
The easy way of doing this would simply be to write a Quotations page that I can update whenever I change the text widget, I know. But I was wondering if it was possible to have this page listed as an archive rather than a regular page (as in: posts archives, text widget archives)? I don't know if what I want to do is simply not supported, or if I just don't know what I'm doing.
    Thanks!

  2. Can you post a link to your blog. But if you host your own site yourself, you should ask the WordPress.org forum http://wordpress.org/support/

Our free blogs here at WordPress.com runs under a different software.

  3. we don't have archives for pages or text widgets. what you could is to create a post, backdate it so it'll be in archives, which you can update with your quotations as many times as you wish without it appearing on the front page of your blog. it can be searched by your readers if you place a search widget in your sidebar too, or just place the link to the post in a text widget.
