Are the stats down?

  1. The statistics page indicates that I have 0 people visiting the site and 0 views. I know people are visiting because I'm getting likes on articles. Do I not understand how the stats work or are they not being tracked anymore?

The blog I need help with is noahsprojectblog.wordpress.com.

  2. Our stats are not real time stats. The data is cached and takes hours to update. See here for more on stats > http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

Note that email subscribers and don't have to click into the blog to read you posts if your provide a full post rather than setting your RSS feed here > Settings > Reading to "summary".

Also note that likes are not page views. In fact, likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can "like" and "share" your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat.

  3. See here for what I do to compel readers to read full posts on my site > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats

  4. edit: replace "email subscribers and " with email subscribers and followers"
