As long as your blog is public, your visits won't be recorded, but we do record your visits when your blog is set as Private.

Hi, that's not true.
My site is public.
i click on an obscure photo that no one had - 5 times,
and it immediately showed up 5 times in the stats.HB

Your blog is not fully public, it's still hidden from search engines.
It would need to be fully public for us to ignore your visits.
