   Please help...I use wordpress.com. I am a writer and I would like to be able to communicate with those visually handicaped by reading my writings outloud on my site. I do not need a video...I would like the screen to just have a picture of a sunset or something simular taken from my photos. What do you suggest? If you suggest that I need to move to wordpress.org I would consider doing so but would then need help since I am not a computer brain even though I am good at self teaching myself. What do you suggest I do? I want to bring my writing to those who cannot read it. I appreciate any suggestions.

   Hi there,

   Most solutions for the visually-impaired are programs which sit on their own computers which translate the text on a website into the spoken word.

   You may want to consider reading some or all of your articles aloud and recording them so that there are two different ways that they can be experienced. In order for audio files to be uploaded however, you would need to purchase a space upgrade within your account by navigating to the Store link.

   I would like for the reader to have both options...to read or be read to. But...I am totally ignorant. How do I upload the audio? What tool do I use? Also...Can you give me any idea for each minute I read how much more space I need??

   Hi there,

   You would upload any of your audio files to your Media Library. Once uploaded you can link to them in your blog posts. We have a help article on how to upload them right here:

   As for what tool to use, there are literally dozens of programs available which you can use to record your voice on your computer. You may want to use your favorite search engine to search for "voice recording pc" or "voice recording mac" (depending on which type of computer you have) to find one which will work best for you.

   And how much space you will need depends on the quality of recording. In order for you to be able to upload audio files at all you need to have at least the smallest space upgrade, so you may want to start with that and then select a larger upgrade if you need it!
