   Hello, my name is Heather S. Ingemar, and I'm an author.

   I read your FAQ and saw your restrictions on advertising. My question is: is self-promotion of my work considered advertising? On my page, I was very careful to only list the link to my publisher once (in the sidebar), but I still provide information on where potential readers may find my work (on a sub-page; the main portion of my blog is just going to be chit-chat and rambling).

   I really like your service and would prefer to reach a "happy medium" than have to move elsewhere.

   We aren't allowed to discuss policy in the community forum. Best bet is to put in a support request from the blue bar at the top of any wp.com page and as the Powers That Be.
