Auto Renew, Refund?

    My inactive blog was auto renewed. $300! From what I have Goggled for answers If I purchase something with WordPress I have 30 days to return it. Yet, if I did not know the system "auto renewed" I'm out of luck because there are no option's for a refund? What service is this? That's a lot of money to take from someone. I can't find a phone number to contact anyone for help? Can any of you help?

    I'll tag this for staff attention. Please subscribe to this thread so you'll know when they assist you.

    Staff is backlogged and works through threads in chronological order.
    The best thing to do is be patient, and know that they'll take care of you as soon as they are able.

    Thanks for the hope. I've used them for years. On and off pro vs free. I was put into shock when I saw that.

  9. Sorry, I may not be asking the right questions or talking to the correct department, but paypal sent me notification of a pending automatic payment to:

    Amount $99.00 USD

    I tried to cancel but the payment went through anyway and when I phoned them they said I would need to sort it out with WordPress.
    I no long use or want this blog (domain is with GoDaddy I think) and would like to have the WordPress Account closed and my $99.00 USD refunded back to my Paypal account. I don't know how to do this or who to notify and would really appreciate any assistance - it would be awesome if someone to contact me to assist.

  14. @kardotim I cannot log into that account and get back to this forum to post to you. The britty16 account only let's me log in to WordPress.org and for me to post on this forum I have to be longed in as britty1989.

  15. @britty1989, please try going to https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and reset the password for the britty16 account. Once you have done so, you should be able to log in under that account. From there, please reply in this thread to confirm you wish us to remove the upgrade, and we'll be happy to do so.

  16. @jackiedana I have tried multiple times to get a new password and don't get the email for it. I can only log into my webpage dashboard with britty16 but not anywhere else on wordpress.com or wordpress.org. So, i cannot get back to this thread as britty16 and am becoming extremely frustrated by how ridiculous this whole process is and that i have two different log ins to begin with.
