   The directs on their website:

   are outdated.

   How would I do this now?

   Those directions are for self-hosted blogs using wordpress software.

   Blogs at wordpress.com are already pinging Technorati automatically:

   http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/09/28/update-pings/

   It ain't happening on blogs with mapped domains. Mine hasn't been updated for 5 days and it will not take a manual ping. I've contacted both Technorati and WordPress about this.

   Yes I have got my blog on my own domain name and I am not sure how I can automatically ping Technorati?

   Have you claimed the blog at Technorati? WP.com is supposed to ping it automatically via pingomatic; what Vivian is reporting is an anomaly, which does not apply to all domain name upgrade blogs. It doesn't apply to mine, for instance. Have you noticed yours not updating at Technorati?
