Going through WP, change-is-possible.com is taken. Going through Go Daddy, change-is-possible is NOT taken.
How can I resolve this, if at all?

You are incorrect. change-is-possible.com is taken; Godaddy itself has taken it. You have to make them an offer.
Well if you enter http://www.change-is-possible.com in your browser, youll end up at Go Daddy website, so it's taken BY Go Daddy. You might need to contact them if you want to purchase the domain.
Actually looks like that domain is taken I'm afraid:
.net was available, so I went that way. Thanks!
