Avatar/Gravatar issue

    Earlier in the week, I decided to get a gravatar after seeing others' nifty avatars. When I now comment on a blog, my gravatar won’t show up for me. The gravatar site states that it might take a couple hours, but it has been days. I’ve looked online at length to figure out what’s wrong, but I can’t find anything useful.

    The gravatar on my "hovercard" works, but not the gravatar alone (next to my comments). The “identicon” still shows up by my comments.

    I’ve followed the instructions and combed through the support pages, forum pages, and other web sites looking for help:

    —I signed up for Gravatar and alligned it with a WordPress account.
    —I use the same email that I use for comments.
    —The image size (98x98) is fine.
    —The “G” rating is fine.
    —The blogs where I comment allow gravatars.

    When I look at others' gravatars using the right click "View Image" function, I see a black background with their gravatar at the center, hosted at a gravatar address. When I do the same to my identicon, it also has a gravatar address, but it is the standard WordPress identicon. Here it is.

    Please help if you know what is going on. Thank you!

    Lo and behold, my gravatar worked in this forum. So, that is a new piece of information -- it does work on the forum pages.

    I'm sorry but the blog linked to your username is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and those are the only blogs we provide support for on this forum. Please contact gravatar support http://en.gravatar.com/site/faq/#

    But Orthosphere, which is the blog that I mainly read (and where my gravatar is not working), is a WordPress blog. {I don't use avatars on my blog.}

    Sorry, I have no idea what the heck is going on. I uploaded a picture to Gravatar. It shows up under "My Profile" & "Discussions" but when you hovercard it or up in the top right corner is a grey mystery man. And when I post it's some green design, even though I changed it under Discussion to blank. Also when I go to Gravatar site, the big BLUE G, shows up, and when I switch it to my picture, it automatically goes back to the BLUE G. What the F am I doing wrong? And why is it so difficult to just use one picture for EVERYTHING? Help. Thanks. I'm new here. LOL.

    @josepharimatheus, The first place a gravatar will show up is here in the forums. Log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, and then take another look at the site. Even if the gravatar does not show up there right away, the fact that it is showing in the forums means the propagation is underway. It make take a few hours, or even 24 in some cases.
