Background

  1. Is there any way I can make the white base background on my site black?

    The blog I need help with is wrestlingrambles.com.

  2. It's #wrapper . You will of course also have to change the text colors so that they will show up.

  3. I don't see #wrapper under ''edit CSS'' so how can it be incorporated into the CSS edit?

  4. You have to add it to your custom CSS. You can click on the "view original CSS stylesheet link on the CSS page and see a complete listing of all the original CSS.

    These are the basics of what you would need. Edit colors as desired.

    .background-image #wrapper {
    background: #000000;
    }

    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    }

    h1 a, h2 a, h3 a, h4 a, h5 a, h6 a {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    }

    h1 a:hover, h2 a:hover, h3 a:hover, h4 a:hover, h5 a:hover, h6 a:hover {
    color: #FF0000;
    }
  5. Sweet.

    Now how do I change text and link colors?

    I think something happened when I switched themes because coding is all different.

    So grateful for your help!

  6. Whoops, forgot the rule for the main text color.

    body {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    }

    CSS is theme specific. Each time you change themes, you basically have to start the CSS customization all over again from scratch. This is for the links and links hover colors.

    a {
    color: #2E6EB0;
    }

    a:focus, a:hover {
    color: #F43059;
    }
  7. Can the wrapper part just be transparent?

    Give that not all browser versions support CSS rgba transparency/opacity, my suggestion would be to create a PNG image with the transparency you want and then use that as a repeating background element for the wrapper such as below. Upload the PNG image to your media library, get the URL of that image and then replace URL OF IMAGE between the double quote marks with the URL of your image. Make the image something like 5 or 10px square.

    .background-image #wrapper {
    background: url("URL OF IMAGE") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
    }
