Background design - long time to load

    The background design on my website takes a long time to load on a number of computers I have tried it on and I am wondering what I can do to speed it up, without reducing the quality of the picture. I would like it to repeat forever (which it currently doesn't do) while allowing the tree trunk to align perfectly as the sidebar of the website. Help greatly appreciated!

    I go to blogs to read content. I'm a minimalist. I'm visually challenged and though you may not like my response I'm going to post it. Remove that distracting background. It's overkill on a site that's already far too visually colorful and "busy".

    Thanks Timethief I appreciate your feedback, however I am looking for a technical fix rather than a design opinion. Help much appreciated.

    To make the background image repeat, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS:

    body.custom-background {
	background-repeat: repeat;
}
