I'm not really sure what has happened. My blog was loading fine and second ago, but when I view it now I see there is no background image. Might anyone know what is wrong with it?

I see a wood plank background on the site you reference.
works now. looks like mine wasnt the only to disappear.
The background issue is fixed now, sorry for the trouble. (Temporary glitch.)
