Best way to post high resolution images

  1. Looking for the best way to post high-resoution images (300 dpi) that are suitable for print.

The blog I need help with is biglabornews.wordpress.com.

  2. The best way to post any images is to optimize and presize them to exact size specifications before you upload them into your media library. That way you avoid the cropper coming into play and retain the best image quality. See here > How good is WordPress at resizing and resampling your images? > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2008/05/03/how-good-is-wordpress-at-resizing-and-resampling-your-images/

  3. Any image uploaded to the web will automatically be rendered by browsers at 72 DPI. They ignore the DPI data in the image. Also monitors today are either 72, 96 or 120 DPI (few are actually 120) so you never see 300 DPI image, not even if viewing it in an image viewer on your computer. The DPI number is only applicable to printing. Not viewing on a monitor or on the web.
