I would love a way to block specific spammers (like you can in email) or spammers who use a specific name. If I get one more piece of spam from anyone using the name "lista de email," I'm going to scream.
The blog I need help with is 90sflashback.wordpress.com.
There is no way to block any spammer who uses multiple dynamic and ever changing IPS. Why fret about this? Akismet is catching it all. As Akismet has sequestered these spam comments simply click "empty spam" button. On the spam that Akismet catches it takes only seconds to click "empty spam" and you don't even have to click "empty spam" if you don't want to. Akismet will maintain comments it has caught for 15 days from the time they were received, and then it will delete the comment automatically.
If you get spam that slips by Akismet then mark it as spam (do not delete it) and over time Akismet will learn it's spam.

I agree with 90sflashback. The problem is that I have to check my voluminous spam to see if any valid comments need to be fished out. Being able to block by keywords such as "lista de email" is what I need, not blocking by IP. And, no, this comment does not need a reply unless anyone has a truly useful suggestion, i.e. not "Akismet is working." Akismet is not doing what I need.
There's little point in dredging up old threads to state what you have already stated in your own thread. Doing that simply drives the threads of those who are waiting for help off the front page of the forum.
