The maximum displayed image width on your theme is found here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/23/maximum-image-width/
You are uploading HUGE uncompressed image from your camera and placing them into small spaces. Here's the size of an image on your blog > 1,979px × 2,837px and it's being scaled down so it fits into your theme (scaled to 378px × 542px). This is not the way to go as you are wasting your image storage space and as you are losing image quality. The correct way to go is to resize and compress the images before you upload them into your blog. See > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/26/cropper-or-proper-image-preparation-2/
