   Hi,

   Bing Webmaster SEO Analysis Detail reports - Non-Compliant Pages for my WP hosted blog.

   It reports 9 urls which are Non-Compliant Pages, and with SEO Suggestion " The <img> tag does not have an ALT attribute defined " in those urls.

   Also Bing suggests the Recommended Action : "Use the <img alt> attribute to write descriptive content for the image: <img source="pic.gif" alt="Accurate and descriptive keyword text that represents the image."</img>.

   I would like to know how to define the image's ALT attribute to resolve the issue for the following 9 urls listed below ?

   Do just what it says. Edit the image and add some alt text.

   Raincoaster,

   how do i edit the image's alt attribute in the page source of the urls in WordPress.com ?

   Under which section of the dashboard can this be edited ?

   Can someone in the support forum help me in resolving this issue ?

   Go to the post on your blog with the image/s in it. Click the Edit link, which will open the Edit Post page (looks like the new post page, but with all the existing post content in it).

   In the Edit Post page , click on the image you want to add alt text too. Two little buttons will appear over the top left of the image. Click the first one, that looks like a landscape picture of a mountain. This will bring up the Edit Picture window.

   In the Edit Picture window, add the description of the picture in the 'alternate text' field. Click Update, which will return you to the Edit Post window.

   Click update to update the post. Done.
