Whenever I update my blog and an email goes out, it arrives blank.
I'm not the only one this is happening to as people are complaining to me.
I use IE, and it is only wordpress emails as other emails are working just fine.
The blog I need help with is spottylover.wordpress.com.

I just started getting this same problem yesterday (4-4-12). In addition to that, when I logged into my account, I could see me typing my username but the password box didn't even show the ********* as I typed the password. It took what I typed and let me in but I never saw anything.
Does anyone know the cause of these issues? And what is the projected fix time.

This is not an issue. WordPress.com uses cookies to keep track of commenters so if someone makes a comment on your blog, the next time they come to your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each other’s details.
What I said above also applies to you. You are logged into WordPress.com and the software is recognizing you and completing the details for you. No one else will be able to view those details.

That sounds to me like it's most likely an issue at your end of things. These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable vesrion (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
trying another browser like Firefox or Safari
resetting your router and modem and oing a restart

Here it is again: It's not when someone comments. It's when I log into my own WordPress account and get the basic login window with the username and password. Before yesterday, when I would type in my username and password, I would see the black dots or *** in the password box. Now I don't see anything as I type in the password box. HOWEVER, I just tried logging in on IE instead of Safari and now I do see the black dots as I type in my password so I'll see what happened with Safari. This issue had NOTHING to do with other people seeing my details as you suggested. That's just silly.
Maybe the other issues are also related to Safari however, I have not changed anything in that browser at all so whatever happened was caused by something other than user input. But I will go through the motions and your suggestions and see if I can solve this issue myself.

Just in case there was still some confusion about my issue, it was exactly the same as Spottylover posted here on March 18.

This was the bigger issue but you didn't address that.

The issue isn't about people not receiving emails of my posts.
The problem is that when I receive an email from ANY WordPress blog including my own, the emails all come in blank to ME.
Is there a way to attach a screen shot? I'll be glad to do that so someone can see the problem.
Yes, screenshots are very useful. Please take a screenshot of it upload it into your Media Library so Staff can view it there.

Okay, I just took a screenshot of two blogs emails that came in yesterday and today. One if from another blog I'm subscribed to and the other is from my own blog.
They're uploaded to my Media Library on my OneDotAdvice blog. As you can see, both of the emails are blank. No text, no graphics, no nothing.
Clearly there is an issue and when I Googled this problem, it's not the first time this has happened to people. I found the same problem last Sept. 2011 and then again on this board with Spottylover's post from March 18, 2012.
There is an issue somewhere. Hope someone can look into this and offer a solution.

Hm, that's definitely a rendering error in the application, not a problem on this end.
Can you please check in webmail (if you have access), or a different email client, like Thunderbird?
I just checked the webmail for my email account and the blog email as text but no image. Since I don't use webmail normally, I don't know if images ever show up there. All my email comes to my desktop using Windows Live Mail.
If it's something with that program, I haven't changed anything. The computer is only 3 weeks old so it would be odd that it's something in Windows Mail causing this because the other issue is this:
When I would go directly to my blog or my sister's blog (cndesigns.wordpress.com), both would have text overlapping or some lines would show only half words. That was using Safari. Now I just went to hers again using IE and it's completely blank except for her name at the top. Using Safari, it's fine.
I uploaded a screenshot of that also just now so you can look at it.
I'm thinking that something happened with my video driver. Any ideas if that could cause all of these issues?
I just updated the video card driver and everything is still the same.
Your video card won't affect how browsers and email clients render pages, but this definitely sounds like a problem with your computer.
Which version of IE are you running?
Relating to the IE issue of only seeing the title on my sister's WordPress blog, IE displayed relating to a Compatibility issue. I could understand that if it was on all WordPress blogs but in IE, mine looks fine but hers for some reason today is mostly blank.

As I said earlier, I haven't changed anything or added anything to my PC so it doesn't make sense that as of yesterday, this would have started happening.
Which version of Windows Live Mail? And can you please try Thunderbird?
What is the URL of the blog that doesn't display in IE 9?

I'd rather not go through the trouble of downloading another mail program. I'm thinking of restoring the computer to a few days ago and see if something random just got corrupted. Maybe that will fix this mystery problem.
