   Hi,

   I am working on a blog and its hosted on my domain, so I'm using wordpress.org tools. I took the wordpress.com theme called "Blissful Blog" and downloaded via svn at its link here: https://wpcom-themes.svn.automattic.com/blissful-blog/ Then I uploaded it to my domain using FTP and I dropped it in its own theme folder. I activated it and it seemed to be working.

   I cannot for THE LIFE OF ME get the slider to appear at the top, like is shown at this demo page. The instructions on this page that say how its supposed to work say to "choose a featured post tag in Settings -> Reading -> Featured Content, set a featured image on your favorite posts and tag them with the featured tag." Problem is, when I click "Settings > Reading" there is NOTHING that says anything about Featured Content. I'm assuming that this has to do with the fact I tried to rip the theme off wordpress.com and use it with my wordpress.org tools??? Can anyone shed some light on this? Is what I'm trying to do possible? I'm beating my head against the wall. (Well actually a pillow. But you get the idea)

   WordPress.com and WordPress.org software are not the same. We don't provide support for WordPress.org installs here and we aren't going to assist you with this.

   Hi unexpected62,

   WordPress.com version of Blissful Blog is built differently to be optimized in WordPress.com environment and the instructions on the theme showcase page are for blogs hosted here WordPress.com.

   Your blog is a self-hosted blog therefore you need to use the version for a self-hosted blog. http://blissfulblog.com/

   If you have a question about the self-hosted version, please ask the theme author directly or post it in WordPress.org forum.
