Hi, I have registered a blog at wordpress.com and I keep getting followed by a guy who never stop writing lame comments in my blog. I have put his e-mai address in my spam filter, but I get annoyed when I see that the messages increase every week by this lame dude.
Isn't there a way to block people permanently, like the wpban for wordpress sites you run yourself on your own web server?

Do not abuse the spam filter! It's only for spam. It's not for comments you don't like. Those you click delete on - not spam!
We cannot block or delete subscribers from public blogs. Everyone on the internet can view and follow any public blog.

I don't think you know the mening of what I wrote, it's not "Oh I dont like your blog" every once in a while.. these messages I can easily delete. But when you really recieve harassment, it's not fun to read and delete manually!
How do you suggest I deal with this, since there is no "harassment filter"? What's your advice to me?
Please give me a link to some "rule" from WordPress Crew that says what the spam filter really is for. I do not buy some tips from a random dude on the Internet, sorry. Everyone has an opinion about things and if I shouldn't do anything on my own blog, WordPress Crew should write a rule about this. Otherwise, I do not care about what other people think I should do and not do.
Yes, I have comment moderation activated. But I do not want to read these messages _at all_, that's what it's about.
And no, I do not want the blog private >_<;

Yes I know what you mean....it's a pity you cannot delete an individual, this person contacted me via Facebook and I've had to block him...now he's contacting me via this site, I've stopped email notifications now.
sharonharvey2> Yes indeed it is :( I have separated my blog from my Facebook, since my blog is very "unpolitical correct", so to say. But I still get all these aggressive people commenting mean things on my blog.
One time I had a guy for 2 years who wrote me I am am slut, whore and so on. I made a complaint to the police and I had his IP and full namn so we could track him. But the police didn't to anything; they said even if the IP matched the name, they couldn't be sure it was him. It could be someone using his computer at his home, with his name.. Very, very far fetched to me. But the police just put down my report.
