Blog Address request

    Dear WordPress,

I would like to use the blog address http://blockpunch.wordpress.com, but apparently that "that site already exists!" However, when I visit blockpunch.wordpress.com it says "The authors have deleted this site."

If that blog address is, in fact, not currently being used is it possible for me to obtain it?

    Regards
    Matt

The blog I need help with is blockpunchblog.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. Click that link and you have been repeatedly warned that deletion is irreversible and the URL cannot be recycled and used by anyone again. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
