blog appearance

    Hi,
    I am seeing a very strange second version of my blog with a huge long list of categories that I have never used like Lad's magazines and Casual Sex. My usual blog URL is http://susiemander.wordpress.com but somehow, when I started typing "wordpress" into my browser, this came up http://wordpress.com/#!/read/following/

    I have also been getting weird links in my posts and pop up ads.

    This is really confusing me. I have cleared the cache and cookies.

    The second link is to your reader and the people you are following. It's an onboard feed (like Google reader, but here on WordPress.com).

    You shouldn't be getting pop up ads or links, so I'd suggest disabling any add ons you have in your browser, then clear your cache and log back in. You should also ensure you're using the most up to date version of your browser.

    If you get other ads, between the bottom of a post and its comments, those are usually WordPress.com's ads as they use those to pay for the site. You can get rid of those with the No Ads upgrade, see this:
