Blog archived or suspended without notice

  1. My blog has been 'archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service' and I don't know why. I wasn't even able to log into my account to post on the forum to ask for support so I had to create a new user account just to do this.

I didn't even receive an email from WordPress telling me that this was going to happen or the reasons why.

The support page is still giving the message that the support team are away until September 7th although today is the 15th. How do I contact someone to find out why this happened??

My blog is about Apple Macs, with tutorials and tips. I don't write anything controversial. At least nothing that I know of so if someone could please tell me why my blog has been closed down without at least notice that it was going to happen.

The blog in question is http://learnmacsonline.wordpress.com/

    Thanks.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

  3. Go to http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ and talk with staff about it. They will not discuss it here in the forums.

  4. From looking at the cached pages in Google, it is all the ads you have plastered everywhere. User advertising is not allowed at wordpress.com.

  5. This is about a blog but I can't login into my account because it's been suspended.

  6. Well can I get back into my blog and remove them?

  7. Talk with staff about it. Typically they will let you remove them, but that is up to them.

  8. Thanks for info, appreciate it. And for the link to customer service. Had the hardest time finding it. They don't make it easy.

  9. You're welcome.

  10. We never send emails saying a blog is suspended.
We never send emails saying a blog will be suspended and the reason why.
Why? Because they will be ignored most of the time and we can't have blogs that have broken the Terms of Service lying open while we wait to get in touch. And with things like the DMCA this is not an option - it's a law. We have to abide by it.

But in the same way we do not send emails when we suspend a blog no-one sends us emails saying they are about to break the Terms of Service either.
