Blog creations

  1. it says the blog site the bookofmark doesn't exist (which I created) but it won't let me creat a blog called the bookofmark what's the deal

  2. What is the full address, starting with http://, you are trying to access?

  3. ok here's the deal I created a blog under a different domain (http://hijs.wordpress.com) I wanted to change it to http://thebookofmark.wordpress.com and was able to for the most part but when I posted it didn't show up on on the new site but the old one so i deleted hijs(the 1st one) now when i go to create a blog it says that name 2nd one already exists even though when you do a search for it it does not exist

  4. hijs HAS been deleted, and that URL is no longer available for use.

thebookofmark IS accessible, but it looks like there is no user-generated content. Please make sure you are logged in with the same email address and password that you used to create thebookofmark when you attempt to post.

  5. I also can't find it by searching for it so if no one owns it then why can't i chose it

  6. Once an address has ben used, it cannot be used again. This is to prevent someone else from impersonating you. You were warned at least twice that this would be the case when you deleted the blog. For more info, see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  7. i am logged in under the only email address I have. which is the same email that i used for hijs

  8. I don't want hijs anykmore but b/c i delete that does that also mean I deleted thebookofmark as well?

  9. I've flagged this post for Staff to look at so they can help you research why the new site isn't listed under your account.

  10. thebookofmark hasn't been deleted. You should be able to access it as long as you are logged in with the correct username.

  11. it says I hae no blogs under this email address and that i need to create one

  12. what happens when you try to go to: http://thebookofmark.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  13. User markthereverend Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

You are logged in as "markthereverend" and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for "The Book of Mark". If you are not "markthereverend", please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are "markthereverend" and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

  14. @markthereverend
Maybe I can lend a hand here.

You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered any blog to access it.

How many username accounts do you have exactly which one is the blog registered under?

Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden

If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
    follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

If you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and if required click the "Need More Help" link and complete the form for account recovery.

  15. i am the main person though. I just took the last hour to set all of this up

  16. Please read and act on what I said above. :)

  17. This means that thebookofmark.wordpress.com is registered to a different username. try going to http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery to recover the correct username/password

  18. I am currently logged in under the username and password that i created not more than 1 hour ago.

it shows that I have no visible or hidden blogs

  19. As I stated, this post is now flagged so that a staff member can review your issue.

  20. Upon further investigation, the site http://thebookofmark.wordpress.com/ appears to have been created at least as early as 2007 (see the About Page date)

Are you sure this is the exact address you created?

  21. I wouldn't be able to chat w/ yall if I wasn't logged in...

I've sent a request over at the link last given but what y'all said contradicts me even being able to respond to you here.

  22. ok so there is already a page called that and maybe that's why I couldn't fully change my domain to thebookofmark

  23. That would be the most likely explanation. Try creating a blog with a different address.

  24. funny how it let me change everything else to that but wouldn't actually change the domain like the instructions said

  25. Well more than one site can have the same name, but not the same address, so if someone was already using that address it wouldn't let you use it.

  26. thanks y'all for the help

  27. You're welcome!
