Blog I saw on Monday

  1. I read a message on Monday about a blogger wondering why his visits were 'down'. How can I view his blog now? The blog was a bit 'risque'

  2. And why, my dear, if I may be so bold to ask, are you searching for a risque blog?

  3. [Moved to support *sigh*]

Where did you read this message?

  4. @drmike
The blog was a lot RISQUE. The sidebar featured a young (under-age?) woman involved in an explict sexual act with male organ, not with a person, just with an organ. The blogger in question spammed the forum trolling for hits by spinning a "poor little me my hits are down what shall I do line". He forgot to put "not safe for work" on his forum post so Podz had to be asked to do it for him. I clearly recall the url but will I share it with "misslionheart"? *NO*

  5. oops... sorry for this !

  6. "The sidebar featured a young (under-age?) woman"
Please do not speculate like that.

vanimahal - despite that blog being legal and within our TOS it seems that user has felt so strongly about the attacks they have left the domain.

Before ANYONE says that is a good thing just remember that group rule will not happen.

If people want the freedom to say what they want then they should get a grip and afford that opportunity to others.

  7. Thanks Pods. And that's a sincere thanks for a level headed attitude.

  8. well said Podz..

  9. The blog was a lot RISQUE. The sidebar featured a young (under-age?) woman involved in an explict sexual act with male organ, not with a person, just with an organ.

Actually, it was a picture of Jenna Jaimeson and I think she's pushing 30. I read her biography a while back, it was ghost-authored by one of the Rolling Stone writers and it was a pretty good read to remind you that these are real people with real lives.

re: that blog. I agree with Podz' statement about group rule, but 95% of the recent posts on that blog had been a porn picture with a link to their typepad blog where they were generating revenue by selling porn tapes in the sidebar.

for the person who was looking for the blog that the wordpress.com blog (since deleted) was pointing to, it was themanblog dot typepad dot com

  10. This was not a censorship issue. And democracy - one would have to have a loose screw if they were suggesting majority rule on wordpress - Automattic is a corporate entity like any other.

    (1) I confess I didn't remain in the blog long enough to look for wrinkles on the female's face.

    (2) The protest arose because the blogger did not give the warning on his forum post that the blog was "not safe for work".

    (3) This was clearly not a censorship issue. This was a you failed to label your post "not safe for work" issue. Therefore, it would outrageously deceptive to suggest after the fact that it had anything whatsoever to do with censorship of what was expressed in writing on that blog.

So lay no bull durham on me, gentle sirs and I won't shovel it into the pile that it belongs in.

  11. How is a person allowed to have his/her blog on display like this? I should have reported it as soon as his question was asked. He was there just for the hits, I suppose...

  12. @misslionheart
Engtech has clarified the motive behind posting on the forum - "95% of the recent posts on that blog had been a porn picture with a link to their typepad blog where they were generating revenue by selling porn tapes in the sidebar"
Thank goodness this is now resolved.
