Blog posts

  1. I want my blog posts reverse to what they are now...in other words the photos are showing last posted as being first..my blog discription is showing as being last and it should show up as first post.

The blog I need help with is 1953jimw.wordpress.com.

  2. Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool and you cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. Posts will be posted to your blog in accord with their datestamps at publication. WordPress by default shows posts in reverse chronological order (newest post on top). For returning visitors, this is very convenient since they can see the latest post without having to page down through page after page of hundreds of posts they have already read.

See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.
You could use a sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts

  3. Ok I understand now.I guess I,ll just deal with it this is not exactly set up like blogger then.Looks like everything here stays on one page?

  4. The software will automatically archive your posts - you do nothing. Your blog has infinite scroll enabled. Staff have been introducing “infinite scroll" to themes — a site wide change that will be applied to all themes that are suitable for the implementation.

    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/infinite-scroll/

Disabling the infinite scroll feature to get rid of the pop-up in the footer results in a "Load More Posts" tab, and you can't disable that "Load More Posts" tab from appearing and have "previous post" and "next post" links, without the Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

To provide access to the Archives you can use an Archives widget > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/
