blog published with author USER name

  1. Hi I discovered that a blog was found on google with the title http://www.helenancker.com/index.php/author/username/

Why did it do this and not use Display name publicly as Helen Ancker?
it now put my username instead of "publice as" name.

tis seems like a bug? and a very annoying one too as usernames cannot be changed but is is now visible for everyone!

The blog I need help with is www.helenancker.com.

  2. @moderator, please remove this post asap?

  3. It is annoying i cannot change or even remove a post i posted.

  4. This is a public support forum and users do not have the ability to edit or delete posts. Staff only removes posts that represent a valid security or personal safety concern. See: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-code-of-conduct?replies=1

If your issue has been resolved, please change the topic status to resolved and we'll know you no longer require help with it.

That said, http://www.helenancker.com/ is not a WordPress.com blog, but a self-hosted WordPress.org install. Please visit the wordpress.org support forum for assistance as we won’t be able to help you here: http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don't already have a username on that forum, click the register button in the upper right corner so you can post in that forum.

  5. Ok, I will ask it in the other forum, but please remove this post ASAP as it is too easy now that people can find the original post and username. That is why i want to delete it ASAP. ( i also requested google to remove the url.)

  6. As I indicated above, users cannot delete threads. That includes me and every other volunteer on the forum. Staff can, but as per the forum code of conduct I linked to above they only do so if a post represents a valid security or personal safety concern, such as if you accidentally included personal contact information.

Besides, the link you provided leads to a 404 error, that is, the page doesn't exist. I do not see any post, nor username, if I follow that link.
