Blog Statistics

  1. Hey guys - I was just wondering whether the stat graph that shows how many visitors have been to your blog per day is a unique hit count, or adds up every time someone refreshes the page?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is danielakawmd.wordpress.com.

  2. The stats are based upon unique hits and page views

  3. @T3ck
Page views is right on but I noticed that the support documentation on stats adds more clarity.

    Can I track other details?
WordPress.com stats do not track unique visitors, countries, IP addresses, or other details. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-info

A page view is a request to load a single page of an internet site that results from a page request from a web surfer clicking on a link on another HTML page which is pointing to the page in question.

A unique visitor is access from a single IP to a web server that generates page views and hits during a particular visit. When a visitor has cookies disabled, there is no way of establishing if they are a unique visitor or not.

  4. @TT Thanks for the information!!! I stand corrected with the unique hits.
