  1. How Did This Happen?

At 6 A. M this morning the stats on my blog dashboard showed 61 visits.
In the area below where it shows you what posts were read there was only one or two posts mentioned with 1 visit on each. Now, at 7P.M.
it is showing 97 visits. I believe the 36 visits in the past 12 hours is correct but there is no way there were 61 visits by 6 A.M.
This bothers me because my readership was growing nicely and I trusted the stat information I was receiving. Now, I'm not so sure.
Any guess as to what may have happened here?

    Thanks.

    Frank

The blog I need help with is ballymote.wordpress.com.

  2. Just so we are clear on this, is the blog in question this one ? > http://ballymote.wordpress.com/

  3. Also have you set the blog to reflect the timezone you live in here? > Settings > General I'm asking because if you haven't done that the blog will be on UTC time (Greenwich meantime) and that could explain the discrepancies.

  4. yes, that is the blog and yes, I have set for local time....this is the first time in the 7 months of the blog that this innacuracy has occurred.

  5. Contacting Staff sounds like the way to go. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  6. Frank, what makes you think there is an inaccuracy? Most of the hits today are on your home page.
