Blog Suspended, but Support away till january 3rd?

    I got the "Warning: We have a concern about some of the content on your blog. Please click here to contact us as soon as possible to resolve the issue and re-enable posting." message, so I guess I somehow violated the TOS.

    I posted a message on the URL, but looking at the support URL (http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/) I found out Support is away till january 3rd 2010.

    Is there anyone who can in the mean time look at my blog and help me out which part of the TOS I might be violating?

    That way, I can put fixes in the queue, so when support reviews this case they should see some progress was made in the mean time.

    Staff will be monitoring the forums during that time so I will tag this thread for their attention. It might be a little bit before they get back to you though so just be patient.

    You work for Microsoft?

    I checked cache and he doesn't have ads. There are badges on the right but they seem to be work related.

    I'm an independent software developer / trainer / coach / evangelist.
    Coming from the Apple ][ and Turbo Pascal era and Anders Hejlsberg follower, I have spoken on a lot of Delphi and .NET related events around the world.
    Since I love sharing knowledge, I blog, and I stackoverflow.
    With a few people, we partner in better office benelux.

    About ads:
    Since I have bought "no ads" upgrade, so there are no ads.
    The badges on the right are indeed work related.

    Does anything above potentially clash with the TOS?

    I have received the same message. I have not violated any rules. I have posted over 1600 and have never had a problem. Is this internet censorship? I am outraged that they have shut down my ability to post for no reason for 10+ Days. I have not violated any of the fair use regulations for content. There is no copyrighted material on my site. Why am I shut out.

    This is an attack of the right of free speech and I am absolutely outraged.

    Please have someone lift this ban immediately.

    @truth11 sometimes, shit happens.
    I think this is far less serious than the Skype outage we had recently.
    So please, take a deep breath, and get your mind over to the holiday season.

    Hi Jeroen,

    I have a huge amount of patience if this is an error or mistake. No problem at all. If it is a simple error i could care less and would wait a month if I had to to post again. No worries...

    However this is not how I took this message. I was under the impression it was internet censorship that they were discussing. Not simply an error. So please excuse me if this is simply clerical.

    If this is a content specific issue then I have great concern and that is why I have responded so feverishly. My apologies.

    If this is content specific then I would like to discuss this further obviously.

    Both of your blogs are back up. The only form of censoring that happens is when an adult blog is labeled as mature. If everything else is legal, they won't censor.

    But yeah glitches happen all the time. Just like on my Twitter when I keep on finding how I've unfollowed people when I did no such thing. I was also suspended on WordPress too and thought my haters finally got a hold of me. But it was a glitch of some sort.

    @pornstarbabylon: my blog wasn't down; it is suspended in the sens that I can't post new items.

    pornstarbabylon was just responding to the claim the other blogger made that this was censorship. In my nearly five years here, I have seen ILLEGAL speech suspended, and I have seen copyright violators suspended for that, but I cannot recall a single instance of someone being suspended for advocating political views of any kind.

    hi all, thanks for your input. Our sites were not down, just cannot post any more until we discuss part of the content on our sites.

    I am very happy to know that wordpress does not censor free speech. I am looking forward to them returning from holidays to re instate my ability to post.

    Of course wordpress.COM does not censor free speech. That being said there are many people who are confused about what freedom of speech is and the responsibilities that come with it are. Freedom of speech not a defense that can be successfully relied on in court if and when one party defames another. Slander is verbal defamation and libel is written defamation. Reading these will provide some insight.

    Hi,

    It's just a code that helps the ToS staff quickly identify the particular violation. For many reasons, we cannot make the definition of these codes public.

    It's generally our policy to close ToS-related threads because they often degrade into something rather ugly. I'm happy to see that this thread hasn't done that, but I'll have to close it just the same.

    I apologize for the delay, and I assure you that someone from the ToS department will review both of your cases as soon as possible.
