   I want to know if there is a way to notify users / friends who are not registered with wordpress, when my blog has been updated. I’ve seen other blogs such as (travellerspoint) where a person has to subscribe to receive the update emails. is this available on WP??

   The blog I need help with is stephandmartin.wordpress.com.

   The closest would be doing an email update thing with feedburner. They would have to sign up with feedburner, but it is simple and takes less than a minute.
