I was attempting to import one of my blogs, and received an error message saying I need to switch to FTP.
I am already using FTP. This particular blogger blog is hosted at my own domain. The archives seem suddenly to be mislabeled, or misfiled, and I got no support for that, which is why I decided to switch to WordPress. There've been other problems, as well. Anyway, I don't know how to switch to something I'm already doing.
We don't do FTP on WordPress.com. Our blogs are free and run differently than blogs hosted at WordPress.org. If you're going to host your own site through WordPress, then this is the wrong forum and you should ask at the WordPress.org forum:
Okay, see, that's not the problem. The problem is that WordPress says I have to switch my blogger blog from blogspot to FTP in order to import to this site.
But the blogger blog is FTP already, not blogspot, therefore, I cannot switch it from blogspot to FTP.
I'm not interested in doing FTP here. I want to transfer my blogger files here.
If the WordPress error is--an error, and I cannot switch my files here because they were FTPed to blogger, well, then the error message told me the exact opposite of that, and that is still a problem.
I'm sorry to say that when it comes to Blogger and exporting blogs the forum search box is full of threads. I don't know if one or more will address your problem or not but you could check while staff is getting to your post. Staff read all the posts on the forum and get to them as they can. If you don't find anything useful through searching you can also send in a feedback with a link to this thread using the button on the top right hand side of any page.
Thank you very much. I read many of the threads last night before posting, but didn't see what seemed to be quite this same situation. I can be patient, though. :-)
IMO it's time to send in a feedback but you won't get an answer back until tomorrow at the soonest.
I was attempting to import my last blog. It's in xml file and I received that it's success. But, the problem is I can't find my articles from my last blog...

Please read the threads in the forum search box as you may find information there that's helpful. If you do not find an answer then send in a feedback to staff.
I am unable to import content from my blogger beta account. I keep getting a password error message. Help!

I'm sorry to tell you that this is not an uncommon problem. In fact some other bloggers had to copy and paste all of their posts in order to move them from Blogger Beta to wordpress.com. Please type blogger beta into the forum search box and read the threads you find there. Staff reads these forum threads and will eventually get to you but in this case they may not be able to assist you ... sorry.:(
I'm interested in moving my blog from the 21Publish platform to WordPress. Can someone tell me how to do that?
The only places that wordpress can import blogs from are indicated on your dashboard and I don't believe that the one you name is among them. Perhaps you should send staff a feedback and they may be able to come up with something that can help you (the top right hand corner of any page is where the feedback button is found.)
Honestly, I don't see the word "Import" under dashboard. Can someone tell me where is it exactly?

Oh, dear. This thread seems to no longer be about my original question, which was about a specific error message.
I think I'll take your advice, timethief, of just copying and pasting all the stuff from there to here.
