Blogger Import NOT importing Embedded Audio/Video Content

  1. I'm trying to import 5000+ posts into WordPress from Blogger, using the standard Blogger import tool, but all embed audio/video content (YouTube, Soundcloud, Vimeo, datPiff, etc.) is not getting imported.

Is there a way to turn off the filtering of this content?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is flytimestx.wordpress.com.

  3. Don't be surprised if SOME of the embeds work, like YouTUbe and Soundcloud, but not all of them do.

  4. Thanks for the replies.

Yes, some of the YouTube embeds work but a majority of the embedded content did not transfer.

  5. Hi there, would you mind showing me two or three examples of posts where the embeds did not work after importing - the Blogger post link, and its WordPress.com post equivalent?

    Thanks!

  6. Thanks for the links. It looks like those players all use iframe code, which is being stripped out on import, since iframes are generally a type of code we don't allow. They also appear to be using different audio services, which would make it tricky for us to help you transfer them over to one of our widgets automatically.

Still, I will ask our developers if there's anything we might be able to do at our end to help. Do you have any idea approximately how many audio players you have on the site?

  7. One of our developers has had a look at this and unfortunately there is no simple way to get all your original audio players transferred over - it'll need to be a manual process. We do have a SoundCloud audio player shortcode you can use for the SoundCloud ones, and you may want to look at our Space Upgrade, which would allow you to upload your own audio files and create your own audio players for them.

We will look into being better able to import SoundCloud players some time in the future and apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
