blogger to wordpress widget problem

  1. Hi,
I just switched from Blogger to WordPress, and some widgets from blogger imported to my wordpress blog and i can't get rid of them--they don't show up in the widgets area of editing! there's a "drop me a line" contact form at the bottom of every page. How can I make that go away?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is reneeemerson.com.

  2. Hi there,

The "drop me a line" box to which you refer is actually your comments box. If you'd like to turn it off for all future posts you can do so by following these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

You'll note at the bottom of the instructions, that you'll have to turn the comments off on your existing pages manually. There is a bulk feature so you don't have to do them one at a time, but it can't be done all at once. Sorry!

Let me know if that answers your question or if there are any other oddities you've notice in the transition.

  3. YAY!! that is what i was looking for--thank you SO MUCH!

  4. My pleasure. Welcome to WordPress :)
